Multidisciplinary creative studio — UK

Services: Brand Voice & Tone / Website Copy / Editorial

Brand voice development, website copy, and editorial writing for a Swiss designer and creative director whose practice moves fluidly between interior design, graphic design, furniture, art, and objects. The central challenge and the central pleasure of this work was finding language capacious enough to hold a practice that deliberately defies categorisation by medium or discipline, while remaining precise and grounded in Sina's distinctive creative philosophy.

The writing sought to reflect the studio's own sensibility: atmospheric, considered, and attentive to the subtle ways material and space act on feeling.

Moving between the physical and the digital, our work spans the many forms and manifestations design takes, encompassing interior design, graphic design, furniture design, art, objects and collaboration. The studio explores the ways design decisions can singularly and collectively shape our experiences of the world. With attention to detail, materiality, tactility and sensory presence, we look to expand the definition of design to encompass curation, creating resonant atmosphere and stories for brands and spaces for richer human experiences.
— The Studio
At the heart of our design work is a profound engagement with the human experience, deeply intertwined with our relationship to Nature. We project ourselves into and onto a space — nothing exists in isolation — a space is further created by those who use and experience it. When this sensibility is engaged with nature, it opens up wider synergetic possibilities between designers, experiencers, and the landscape a project exists physically or contextually within. We work with a continual desire to enrich connections between people and nature through regenerative design, in a meeting of traditional craft and the freshness of contemporary perspectives and innovation. As a studio, we consciously choose real, living materials which last and change with age; a story within a story.
— Values
Atmosphere is an immediate form of physical perception, recognised through the activation of emotional sensibility. We believe in designing atmospheres for embodied experiences that reflect the conversations between internal and external worlds; experimenting with the use and absence of light, the effect of tactility, and the awareness of different needs in different spaces. Spanning digital and physical spaces, atmosphere is a continual play with how we emotionally interact with the world.

This room is defined by contrast and attention to detail: a bespoke unlaquered phosphor bronze basin sits beside minimal brushed inox taps, creating a visual tension that quietly celebrates the inherent quality of materials. Over time, the bronze will develop a patina; a daily evolution shaped by water, use and touch. It’s a subtle, living story within a story of the space’s interaction with those who move through it. On the walls, handmade tiles and a natural and healthy Pastellone finish invite a tactile connection. The palette is soft, drawn from the exposed old stone wall which was left in place as a connection to the building’s history and a meeting point of old and new, its colours echoed in the gentle hues of the walls and floor.
